Falconfinance: Redeeming USDf Through Falcon Finance

· updated

Falcon Finance lets eligible account holders exchange USDf for supported stablecoins or use USDf to claim a previously locked non-stablecoin minting position. Both redemption routes have a documented seven-day cooldown. In the app's documented flow, released assets reach the Falcon Account before withdrawal to a wallet. Unstaking sUSDf into USDf is a separate conversion that doesn't deliver the final stablecoin or collateral.

Exit routes and their inputs

Classic redemption
Exchanges an existing USDf balance for a supported stablecoin, such as USDC or USDT. Eligible holders can use this route without having personally minted the USDf.
sUSDf unstaking
Converts available sUSDf into USDf at the prevailing sUSDf-to-USDf value, which reflects accrued pool yield. Falcon's Redemptions guide describes this conversion as immediate. Fixed-term restaking has its own lockup, and the platform's terms still allow verification and processing delays.
Collateral claim
Repays USDf against a specific non-stablecoin position previously locked for minting. The Claim guide requires a Falcon Account balance sufficient to repay the USDf originally minted against that position. Recovery rights depend on the minting mode and the position's status.

Account access

Direct redemption requires an approved Falcon Account, KYC or KYB identity verification, and any wallet-whitelisting and screening checks that Falcon requires. Holding USDf acquired elsewhere doesn't by itself grant account access. Falcon's Terms of Use, updated 11 August 2026, exclude U.S. Persons and list the United States and Singapore among restricted jurisdictions. Other jurisdictional, sanctions, and product restrictions also apply.

Stablecoin redemption stages

Overview: Stablecoin redemption stages
Stage Action and result Limit or completion condition
Fund the Falcon Account Use USDf already credited to the account, or deposit the amount to be redeemed through a supported deposit route. USDf held externally must reach the account before account-based redemption.
Choose the amount and asset In Redeem, select the USDf amount and a supported stablecoin payout. The Redeem guide specifies a minimum of $10,000 worth of USDf for this flow. The terms let Falcon change the minimum and decline redemptions below it.
Authorize the redemption Submit the redemption and confirm the required wallet transaction. Authorization doesn't establish that the payout has settled.
Wait for processing Falcon processes the request during the documented seven-day cooldown. Compliance checks, settlement requirements, or network delays can extend completion beyond the cooldown.
Confirm account credit Check that the redeemed stablecoin has been credited to the Falcon Account. Account credit is separate from receipt in an external wallet.
Set withdrawal details Select the settled asset, withdrawal amount, and correct receiving wallet. The Withdraw Assets guide describes Ethereum withdrawals and directs requests on other networks to Falcon support. Withdrawal minimums and fees apply.
Complete the withdrawal Authorize the withdrawal and confirm the finalized asset receipt in the destination wallet. Wallet authorization alone doesn't confirm receipt.

Claims against locked collateral

Classic Mint
Classic Mint claims can recover the applicable overcollateralization buffer. The documented payout choices are the original collateral asset, USDT, or a combination. The recoverable value and asset mix follow the position's buffer and valuation rules.
Innovative Mint
The Terms of Use updated 11 August 2026 don't allow you to request redemption, withdrawal, or transfer of the collateral during the selected Mint Term. For a position that hasn't been liquidated, the collateral-recovery branch applies when the maturity spot price is between the selected liquidation and strike prices. To reclaim that position's collateral, you must return all USDf minted for it during the term within 72 hours of maturity; missing that deadline results in liquidation to cover the minted USDf. If the maturity price is above the strike, Falcon issues additional USDf based on the excess collateral value, and the right to reclaim collateral is forfeited. The terms also provide for liquidation and loss of collateral rights if the price reaches or falls below the liquidation threshold during the term. The 72-hour repayment window is separate from the seven-day redemption cooldown.
Tokenized real-world assets
A redemption or collateral return involving a tokenized real-world asset may have separate transfer restrictions, compliance checks, settlement mechanics, and asset-availability conditions. That asset's specific product terms take precedence over conflicting general terms for that asset.

Redemption value and costs

Falcon's terms describe a 1:1 basis for USDf redemption into supported stablecoins, with redemption amounts subject to rounding down. The FAQ states that Falcon doesn't charge a protocol-specific redemption fee and passes gas and execution costs to users. The 11 August 2026 terms reserve the right to introduce or adjust fees, and third-party charges may also apply. Check the applicable charges before submitting the request.

The cooldown gives Falcon time to withdraw assets from its yield strategies. The terms don't guarantee immediate processing or completion, so a redemption request isn't a promise of wallet delivery exactly seven days later.
